Same room as the last image, just a different view.
This was processed more than a McChicken sandwich.
So it hit me wile I was processing this one. People have died in these rooms. People have suffered in these rooms and cried from overwhelming pain. What hit me wasn’t creepy, it’s that I’m taking images uploading them to Flickr and not taking into account the human history here. I’ll never know who and what happened but I do have to appreciate and imagine the life’s that where changed in this hospital. Not just patients but the children who lost parents, the parents who went through the unthinkable, the loss of a child. The nurses and doctors who probably worked 70 hour weeks and didn’t think to go home and take care of their own kids because someone here was in so much pain that they couldn’t consider leaving them. I think that’s whats really interesting. What this place was, not what it is.

Flock is a really awesome new browser based on Firefox, which works to integrate a lot of Web 2.0 functionality such as blogging, linkblogging, picture uploading, and eventually more. My internet friend Andy Smith works for Flock, so I try to sell it every chance I get. Besides, it’s awesome. I use it mostly because it makes it really easy to integrate Flickr photos into my blog posts. My main problem is that it uses a lot of icky-looking HTML markup, so frequently I have to go through and clean it up afterwards, replacing paragraph tags with whitespace, etc.
And yes, Rob is running a disgustingly Mac-ified version of Windows XP. Nice try, Rob, but we still know what you’re running

I am working on my previous trips and books so I will be uploading some that are not already in the sets.. Fom Honduras, Copan Ruins.
Structure 230 was adorned with numerous long bones and skulls. These motifs suggest a theme related to death and possibly are related to a ritual involving the reburial of deceased rulers.

In the center of the museum is a true scale replica of the temple nicknamed "Rosalila". Modern artisans have made highly accurate reconstruction’s of the elaborate colored stucco relief’s that adorned the Rosalila. The temple, discovered in nearly perfect condition, by archaeologist in 1991, it was dedicated by Copan’s tenth ruler, "Moon Jaguar," in the years 571 AD. As a whole the temple represents a mountain, a place of creation, a source of life-giving water and the sacred maize plant.
The Sun God, a key player in the creation myth, rises majestically on the top with his wings outstretched across the building. The birds on the lower part of the building are representations of the first ruler and founder of the Copan dynasty, whose hieroglyphic name reads "K’inich Yax K’uk’ Mo’ " (Sun-faced blue-green Quetzal Macaw’). On the upper story, serpents stream forth like smoke from a enormous incensario with a skeletal face, they overlap the giant image of the mountain deity.
Rosalila was so sacred that it was left intact, even with its roof.
